Global Business School & Research Centre (GBSRC) situated at Tathwade, Pune is the flagship institute of Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. It was established in 2006. In a span of 13 years, the Institute has carved a name for itself amongst the top business schools of the country.
Programmes Offered
The department offers 2 years Masters of Business Administration, 3 years Bachelors of Business Administration and Ph. D in Management.
The curriculum for the MBA Program is designed by experienced academicians and industry experts. The course curriculum is updated as per the industry requirements. In the MBA Program, there are eleven different specializations on offer which are in tandem with the demands of the industry. Students avail dual specialization with special emphasis on Marketing Management. The duration of the course is two years.
Realizing the need for quality under graduate program, GBSRC has started the 3 year full time BBA program from 2018. Students have the flexibility to choose their specialization from a bouquet of 9 specializations. The Program is designed to give the students exposure into the field of Management and develop leadership traits which are the pre requisites of leaders of tomorrow.
The Ph.D. Research Centre was established in the year 2010. The Centre provides the platform to academician, corporate personnel and students alike to engage in cutting edge research activities. The aim of research is to provide a base for scholarly investigation which makes practical application of knowledge possible. Till date, 57 research scholars have been awarded their doctoral degree under the aegis of GBSRC Ph. D centre. At the Centre, faculty student collaborative research is strongly encouraged. Faculty members and students are also allowed to pursue funded project/research work.
State-of-the art Infrastructure
The sprawling campus has state-of-the-art infrastructure i.e. spacious lecture halls, computer labs with high speed internet and wi-fi connectivity, LAN facility, air conditioned seminar hall, well -equipped gym facility, well stocked library with spacious reading hall. Guest lectures, seminars, conferences, industrial visits and tours, outdoor management camps, annual management events and coaching programs are held on regular basis. The Institute has large hostel facilities as well as a placement centre.
Special features
At ‘Parakram,’ the Annual Management event, students get a chance to hone their marketing, finance, and people management skills. To discover potential business ideas and nurture them, every year ‘Business Plan Competition’ is organized. The Institute has an ‘Incubation Centre’ where students work and develop their business ideas in course of their 2 year study. Students receive seed funding to start their entrepreneurial venture in the in-house incubation cell.
